We are a 501(c)3 Organization! OBFO-New Mexico is an extension to the OBFO-Spokane outreach that began in Spokane, Washington. Together, we continue to reach out with truth in love to the addicts, gang members, and people from all nations and tongues who need the Hand of Hope, which we believe is only discovered in Jesus Christ! OBFO avails itself to linking arms with other agencies, ministries, churches, businesses, and individuals to provide opportunities for education in recognizing, understanding, and meeting the needs of individuals they encounter without jeapordizing their progress toward healthy transformation and without the outreaching team enduring victimization in the process Larry Whiston Sr., Jan Foland, and Daniel Woods founded this ministry on February 6, 2003. Since that time, we have experienced growth on many levels. First, in our linking arms with several other organizations, churches, ministries agencies and businesses. Without the help of these "arms" we would be quite limited in what we are able to aaccomplish! Second, in our understanding that God makes use of even our mistakes! This is a very big one because it frees us to make an unhindered approach to reaching out to those who are difficult to reach! Of course, we do make every effort to "Get it right," and we have succeeded on numerous occasions! Third, we have come to the understanding that our "Spiritual Children" have to grow closer to Jesus Christ, and not merely to us! In past times, we have succeeded in the reverse order, those by mistake we did have some who grew very close to Jesus Christ! There are now helping to lead the ministry in Spokane, WA. (2 Timothy 2:2 is being fulfilled!). Fourth, there are many other ministries and churches out there who have watered the fields with prayer, outreach, and other endeavors. Some of these have planted the seeds we are now reapingg, others are reaping where we have planted. Together we make quite a difference! |
